Het event wordt gehouden op 9 december a.s. in ‘Het Rensenpark’ (voorheen Creatief Mensenpark, in het oude buffetrestaurant), Hoofdstraat 16 te Emmen van 15.00 uur tot 16.00 uur.
De toegang is gratis & aanmelden is niet noodzakelijk.
Tijdens het event zullen opnames gemaakt worden voor een documentaire voor de BBC.
Over het museum:
The Museum
It is situated in Emmen, called the city of butterflies, North eastern Holland, at the border with Germany, in a beautiful landscape amidst a forest of huge trees and little ponds. This landscape which used to be a zoo area at the past, hosts now in οne of its pavilions, the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art.
The idea of the Museum was initiated by the Tibetan Artist Tashi Norbu in co-operation with Marjanne Tholen and Team, with the aim to become a Museum-cradle of Contemporary Tibetan Art; sending messages of spiritual awareness across the planet; keeping and preserving the Tibetan Art and culture which comes from the roof of the world -where Tibet is-, and embraces all the Western world. And this is the Museum of Contemporary Tibetan Art! The first one in Europe to house and exhibit Contemporary Tibetan Art. On 1st June 2017 it opened its doors to the public; since then, it has become everyone’s Museum with a continuing activity, projects exhibitions and displays, exploring and sharing perceptions, feelings and innovative thoughts!
TSG Special- Tibetaanse kunst en cultuur in de Lage Landen 2017
Tashi Norbu is een Tibetaanse kunstenaar die nu al heel wat jaren aan het werk is in Nederland. Zijn eerste grote project was de expositie Tibet Art Now in 2009. Deze expositie die hij in samenwerking met verschillende mensen organiseerde, bevatte kunst van Tibetaanse artiesten in ballingschap van over de hele wereld. Karma Puntsok die in Australië leeft, Losang Gyatso die in Amerika woont en werkt, Puntsok Tsering uit Duitsland, en nog veel meer. De meeste van deze kunstenaars reisden af naar Amsterdam voor de opening. In de prachtige ruimte die sommige mensen herkende als het voormalige Oibibio aan de Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam, was een keur aan moderne Tibetaanse kunst te aanschouwen. In het werk van de kunstenaars was vaak een link te zien tussen traditionele Tibetaanse kunst en de moderne, vaak westerse, samenleving.
